I am about to talk about israel at our house of prayer. why me? maybe because i can´t stop thinking about it. and I was in israel and wanna share some things i recognized or realized there. the reality of being in the land is not only easy..

BUT

#it is the chosen people and the promised land. -It is the older brother. it is the one jahwe made covenant with and revealed himself to at sinai. the disciples were jewish men. Jesus – YEshua- was a jewish men. we need to have the roots in us. he was made flesh as one who showed the ways of his father. In flesh, in fullness, in full obedience. the jewish people will return to the land and be with their God! they will be brought back from the nations of the earth, they shall be a light to the nations….. alight to the gentiles.

as we pray for them we become one with God´s hearts desire and we are connected to our rootsystem.

may they say: blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.

as you can see i am pondering about all these facts. so tomorrow I will try to talk about the feasts of the Lord and israel as the chosen people to be holy and set apart for the one who made heaven and earth….

we want to know our God in the fullness…..

open up the ancient gates and open up the EVERLASTING doors, that the King of Glory may come in. (PS 24.7)

maybe I am ruined. ruined to persue him and proclaim Him. ruined even for his people to have revelation.
so we will celebrate shabbat together tomorrow. that is beautiful. it is beautiful that this day was ordained for us to meet with Him. no business, no hurry, no money, no fear.

sorry for not writing for so long. i think facebook and the direct contact to many people kept me away from my blog…. 

i really enjoyed being back in Germany and had to digest all the things that I experienced in Jerusalem. Also I have been involved with the House of prayer in Karlsruhe and i have been on a litlle trip lately to Herrnhut. Herrnhut is the place where the Moravians started 24hour prayer that lasted for 100 years. We (Christiane, Anne, Barbara, Joelle and me) had a little tour by a woman from Herrnhut who works with “Jesus House”. since I want to know how things that are really precious stop I wanted to know why the 24 hour prayer stopped. the woman said that you don´t exactly know why, but one reason was that the Moravian missionaries started to bring home little wooden statutes and gods from other nations and they became lukewarm. so the mixture that they allowed stopped the fire they had for the Glory of God and the truth of Him being the only one… it was inspiring to be there and us girls had a truly blessed time there!!

the most of the time since i am back in Germany I live with my Grandma and Grandpa in the little village I grew up in. Interesting to be back here for a season and to dig for treasures in my family!! but I also applied for a visa and will be going back to ZHOP soon. I have a visa for five years!! it is called a religious workers visa and I look very much forward to be in one spot for a longer period of time!!! Travelling is nice. but exhausting after a while – if i am honest…..

well, God is good! He has been faithful all along, protecting me and blessing my heart! Even with little things like learning cooking from my Grandma :) .

observations during the night in Jerusalem Montag, Okt 13 2008

This is what happens at 4am in Jerusalem. We (my roomate and the other nightwatchers) finish our nightshift at 3am, then we walk home. So I arrived at home but I am right awake. So I drink some tea and read a book. Sitting in our living room at 4am I start hearing these horrible muslim prayer towers filling the air with demonic noises and confusing words. I start praying for salvation for the souls of these “prayer leaders”. So after a while they stop – actually they are still going on just not the ones that are closest to our place – but still this horrible sound goes out… well after they stopped at the one that is the closest here the dogs in the neighbourhood started barking like crazy. They don’t like these noises either and they make them bark. I think this is a manifestation of the bad atmosphere that these “prayers” release.
I am mad that these voices are louder then the praises that we sing to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The God of Israel. The one who actually sits in the throne of the earth. The one who brings peace and justice and sets free the oppressed.
I put in ear plugs and still I hear the noise. I think they are extra loud tonight and they are extra long as it seems.
Tomorrow the Feast of Succot starts. This feast is the last of the feasts that are talked about in Leviticus 23. This feast points to the time to come, when we will dwell in the house of the Lord in the millenium reign. Unmoveable, unshakeable, no other gods and no more bad noises filling the air…. if you could hear how loud that is….
Why can that be allowed??

“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:”May they prosper who love you. For the sake of my bretheren (in this case including ME), I will now say, “Peace be within you.” Because of the house of the Lord our God I will seek your good.” Psalm 122

Puuuh, finally it is over. For at least some hours.
The feast of Succot will last for eight days and will include a lot of feasting, hopefully dancing and reading of the Scriptures.
May the jewish people be strengthened in their God and have eyes enlightened to see the Messiah.

Hello from Jerusalem!
This is the city that God has chosen for Himself and even though His poeple might not have the fullness of Him, this is the season where the whole city celebrates the feasts of the LORD. This is part of the covenant that God made with them and over the thousands of years they are still celebrated. I think this is a testimony of the reality of the covenant. You can read about them in Leviticus 23 I think. We have to pray that the jewish people would have a heart-revelation of God in this time of celebration that they would see the Messiah and love God more then religious behaviour. Here is a lot of tradition and selfrighteousness that keeps the jewish people away from God’s heart and from a relationship with the One who loves them. Pray for wisdom and revelation.
The fall feasts are the following feasts called the feast of trumpets, the ten days of awe (a time of repentance, the fear of the Lord but also being in awe of God), the day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) and then the feast of tabernacles (Succot).
I have been here now almost a week but cannot say too much so far. I have been spending a lot of time in the word and wanna be in awe of God to know Him more. Also I hope to get a chance to meet some jewish people and get a chance to talk to them. they seem to be very open in this season of celebration.

these feasts are part of why I called the blog “ancientdoors”. They speak prophetically of the way of the MEssiah and of redemption. EVERY YEAR they are celebrated. From the spring feast Passover (the crucifiction of the Lord) to Shawout or the Feast of weeks – this is the time of the outpouring of the spirit (pentecost) to the fall feasts. So every year they are celebrated and the first two are already fullfilled. the crucifiction happened – the lamb was truly slain. and also the spirit was poured out on the Apostles and all who believe. the last part of the fall feasts Succot speaks of the return of the Lord  – the indwelling of Him with HIs people.
so this is a feast that still has to be fulfilled. …. until the Spirit and the bride say come…..the jewish community has to call out blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD.

All of this is just a short outline of this… but I hope it still gives some insight…..

I am sorry for not writing for so long…. somehow I thought maybe no one is reading what I am writing but today I learned I am wrong!!
This time in Germany is truly a blessing. I love being here even though I feel the Lord leading me back to the States. First I will spend another seven month in Israel though!! I am already exited what the time there will hold. It will be another seven weeks being in nightwatch at Succat Hallel. And I will be living with two girls in an apartement not too far away from the house of prayer so we will be able to walk home. This is good!

I feel so blessed by the people I know. People here in Karlsruhe, but also people in Israel and in the States…
Well, today we had a really good day with a team from our House of Prayer. The House of Prayer is in a big trasition (maybe I already mentioned in another post that it will move into another place!?) and we had a day talking about the vision for the house and about the harp and bowl model to combine worship and prayer.
So this is a new season for everyone and a breakthrough!!! It is a blessing for my heart to see how people hear the calling from God to be part of building the house of prayer. It is a blessing to see what I learned on the journey of living the lifestyle of prayer for a year and 9 month so far….. This is like a testimony of Gods sovreignty to build Houses of Prayer in this time of history to bring a new way of living faith into the church!! THAT WE MAY KNOW HIM AND LOVE HIM AND ARE ONE IN HIM….
Yes, and I will apply for a visa to the States after I come back from Israel! As the Lord leads… follow the lamb wherever I should go.

sisters of mary Montag, Sep 1 2008

me and some friends have been visting a communtity of “the sisters of Mary”. This is a protestant community of about 120 women who live completely by faith. they actually besides little things that they got as a present. So everything – really everything they have is provided from God. The land the buildings, food, shoes…..  
It was good to meet these humble women and hear about experiences of how one way of community works. It was great to be there. As I told you there is a lot of people interested in living in a community of believers…
the sisters of mary have for a example a daily meeting to pray and sing. everyone has a different task to do in the community….
and they have different things like services with clear teachings on endtimes and repentance.
also this week there will be a coptic believer from Cairo, Egypt talking about communities of believers at our church. So I wanna think more about that and know how the LOrd leads me personally and leads the people from my church on. I always loved living in communities and I think we learn the most as we live in communities of believers – even though it means death to self in some ways.
It is a good way to learn to love each other like he loved us, so that the world will know us by our love!!

what about a little update?? Montag, Aug 25 2008

“taste and see that the Lord is good!”
that has been tangible still. I think in general it is something He wants to teach me – I mean all of us who are His beloved people!
I have the chance to live in an apartement in the middle of the city by myself. that helps to think about all these different places I have been to with the Lord and makes it easy to invite people to have a meal and times of prayer. So this has been a sweet blessing! I mean my home is where He is and He is where I am :) so that works!! It really helped me to rest in the Lord more and recieve from Him wisdom and strength too.
What else to mention? I have been to Switzerland meeting an old roommate that is married and pragnant now!! Beautiful! It only was a day trip but it was good to see her and her husband! and also another friend from Switzerland. I went to a conference called “heart of worship” and there they were. So some time we were there and then at home at their place. The conference was a good conference and a blessing to be. A time where the spirit of God moved and broke some chains for a lot of people!! We have to learn to live by the spirit and not by our own understanding.
Good news is that we have great changes at our house of prayer – which means we will have new rooms soon! Kind of like ZHOP size and style. that will be a great advantage for the house of prayer here and make a place of worship and prayer to be vistited by more people! I also think it will draw in the youth and they need to know what to do with their lives – instead of joining in what the world does! pray and fast and seek the face of the Lord to know Him!
It is so good to see how things go on! I love the way how my church goes on as the Lord leaves!! It is truly a blessing that the do follow the Lord and He shows Homself so faithful in all of it! It is not the easiest to move by the spirit in Germany since there are structures that do not allow all that too easy but now we have a new place for the church and the church and IHOP will be in that same place and “my house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations” we built a place of prayer and God is changing things that seemed impossible to POSSIBLE!
It is also a time where I learn a lot about ancient dwells in Germany so that is sweet too. It is a blessing to hear how people prayed and sanctified whole regions for the purposes of God or how someone named Georg Mueller went to England and started an orphanage with full trust in the Lord and His provision. And God is faithful – “His will is His bill”
Soon I will move out of the city to the countryside to live with another friend and her family. It is a blessing to see how God uses all these times with people to bless me and them. truly living together and spending time together is so precious!! I am truly doing good because the Lord is so faithful. He is the loving father and bridegroom! And His light shines much brigther than the darkness!! So I cling to Him. LOVE IS STRONGER THAN DEATH.

here I am again!!! Sonntag, Aug 3 2008

Hi there. I think it is time for a little update from Karlsruhe, Germany. I want to say that I am very thankful and amazed about what the Lord is doing. God is moving!! He is moving in several different ways. Definetly one way is to move in His love. That makes the way for the body of believers to come closer and become stronger! It is so good to see that. Because people become more fruitful and the gifts of the spirit flow in being together. We had times where we prophecied over each other, times with prophetic worship, times of revelation, times of worship and joy, times of love, times of healing…. most of the things happened in the house of prayer, some things just at our home.  So I am so glad to see how things progress. there is good things going on and where it looked like the enemy can steal away Gods will and way there is more strength and clarity coming to go on and not look back.
Hmm, am I writing in mysteries ??? sorry…. It is just flowing out of me in the rewind of the last few days and week. My body feels quite weak since I have been doing a lot, but I am still quite strong in the spirit and rejoice. this one is for Beth: I DANCED in our service!!!! It was so beautiful and so much fun. dance is really something that needs to break through in our church services. tonight we had a great time of worship and then the preaching and then we had a lst song – and there it happened ;)
oh how I missed it. dance before the Lord is beautiful!
My church is a church that truly wants God! And we need more of Him!
More of His presence.
I enjoy meeting with people and being here at the house of prayer and so far I do not have a date when to leave the country so I enjoy what is going on here!! And pray and worship. So what to say but, God is good. Taste and see that the Lord is good. He is faithful!!
We also keep on meeting for the prayer against abortion and are very encouraged to see how the core group grows together and how the Lord leads us!

 

a little different Dienstag, Jul 22 2008

well, after a week of nightwatch in the House of prayer where I was alone three of four nights I talked to our leader of the house of prayer and we decided that we will only have one or two nights a week of nightwatch!
to be honest that is better lika that!!! It has been a big challenge to be there alone and to keep going I felt exhausted after that week. So I am studying by myself at home and learning to walk with the Lord in this city. the gril I am with is freshly married so we don´t want her to spend her nights in the house of prayer and her husbad being alone at home….

this weekend some of the people of our house of prayer will go to Passau (a city in Bavaria, close to Austria) and we will record a CD with harp and bowl in german!!! the first CD ever. I hope everything will fall into place and everyone will be recorverd (someone is sick right now) until then and we can launch the project this weekend.
two friends and me will be praying and others will be musicians. I hope that this will be a blessing for the german speaking nations and introduce the blessing and the concept of harp and bowl prayers.
